Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman was a U.S. Olympic team captain who has won gold medals in 2012. Her six Olympic gold medals make up part of an unprecedented total. In addition, she was the winner of two World Championships teams. Aly, a native Massachusettsn who fell in love with gymnastics as young as 18 months when she attended a mommy and me class. Aly Raisman is a defender of body positivity. She is also an inspiration both in and off the floor, and has spoken against Larry Nassar during his sentencing hearing. Aly Raisman was born in 1994 and began her gymnastic career at a very young age. She was a part of the U.S. Gymnastics Team win the 2011 World Championships. Two medals were awarded to her in 2012 in the London Summer Olympics two of which were for the team as well as one for floor exercises. Raisman was awarded silver medals in both the floor and individual finals at the 2016 Olympics in Rio. She also took home a gold medal in the team gymnastics competition. Raisman revealed in 2017 that she was sexually harassed by her former team physician Larry Nassar.
